Pioneering Ultra-Efficient CCPP: MCC Huatian Secures Two 100MW Projects

After signing the world's first 100MW ultra-efficient CCPP project with Huai Steel, MCC Huatian has now secured a contract with Sha Steel for the world's second 100MW-class unit. These back-to-back deals reinforce MCC Huatian's leadership in steel industry gas power generation and support the sector's carbon reduction goals under the "dual carbon" strategy.

Decades of Expertise Forge Technical Leadership 

With decades of experience in CCPP technology, MCC Huatian has developed four generations of systems and holds nearly 30 related patents. It authored the industry standard "YB/T4504-2016 Design Code for Gas-Steam Combined Cycle Power Plants in Iron and Steel Enterprises", converting engineering practice into national benchmarks. These achievements have earned over 10 provincial and ministerial awards.

Benchmark Projects Set New Industry Records 

MCC Huatian's third-generation CCPP projects have repeatedly set industry firsts:

1. Ma Steel 183MW project: China's first 180MW-class coaxial unit and first 5G smart power plant

2. Bao Steel 2×165MW project: World's first high-altitude CCPP cogeneration unit

3. Sha Steel 186MW project: Set records for efficiency, localization rate, construction speed, and cost

The fourth-generation technology is now being deployed in two new projects:

1. Huai Steel 100MW project: World's first compact ultra-efficient steel CCPP unit, with 50% generation efficiency and 48.7% supply efficiency, saving 101,300 tons of coal and cutting CO2 by 277,800 tons annually

2. Sha Steel 100MW project: World's second such unit, replacing a planned 186MW system to align with carbon reduction goals, expected to supply an additional 417 million kWh yearly

Driving Green Transformation 

MCC Huatian's CCPP technology improves gas utilization efficiency by over 15% compared to traditional systems, boosting self-power generation and reducing grid dependence. Its operating projects save over one million tons of coal and cut millions of tons of CO2 annually. With a product range from 100MW compact units to 180MW+ systems, MCC Huatian serves both integrated steel mills and smaller plants, enabling an efficient, clean, and low-carbon energy transition.

These two new contracts validate MCC Huatian's technical strength and market position. The company will continue advancing energy-saving innovations for the steel industry, fulfilling its role as a key player in the "National Team for Metallurgical Construction."
