In early 2026, MCC Huatian Nanjing Electric Engineering Technology Co., Ltd. achieved significant progress in low-carbon transition. Leveraging the outcomes of digital intelligence construction in projects such as the Yaxin Converter Steelmaking Centralized Control and Jiaxing Electric Arc Furnace Steelmaking Centralized Control, its independently developed carbon emission accounting module for steelmaking shops has been integrated as an independent function into the ongoing Shanxi Yaxin Steel Steelmaking Centralized Control Project. The signing and execution of this project represent a key achievement following policy research, market investigation, and multi-scenario technical validation by MCC Huatian Nanjing Electric Engineering Technology Co., Ltd. This marks the transition of its carbon emission accounting technology from the R&D phase to the market application phase, gaining market recognition in the field of industrial green intelligence.

The project will integrate carbon emission accounting modules at the steelmaking shop level, including converter, auxiliary (gas), and continuous casting. It will access real-time production data across the entire process via an industrial internet platform, automatically generate multi-dimensional carbon emission reports, and support integration with enterprise ERP systems, L2 systems, and others. By establishing a real-time carbon accounting system, it will provide a precise data foundation for the enterprise's green transformation, enabling low-carbon and intelligent management of its production processes and strengthening its market leadership in sustainable competition.

Forward-looking R&D Deployment. Since the introduction of the "Dual Carbon" goals, the steel industry, as a key sector in energy consumption and carbon emissions, has faced an urgent need for green transformation. MCC Huatian Nanjing Electric Engineering Technology Co., Ltd. keenly captured this industry trend, initiating carbon emission accounting work in April 2024. A team was established to conduct systematic policy research, deeply interpreting standards and policy documents such as ISO 14064 and the "Guidelines for Enterprise Greenhouse Gas Emission Accounting and Reporting." The team clarified compliance requirements for steel enterprises in carbon emission data monitoring, accounting, and reporting, and developed offline development logic and detailed designs for carbon calculation across various process stages. Concurrently, in-depth investigations were conducted at steel production bases, with discussions held with technical leaders from multiple enterprises to map out key carbon emission nodes throughout the steel production process. The core challenges faced by enterprises in carbon data collection and accounting model construction were summarized, establishing a development path "centered on data and guided by scenarios."

Technical Breakthroughs and Market Enablement. To validate technical feasibility, based on the company's R&D project "Development and Application of Energy Management and Carbon Emission Systems for Steel Enterprises Based on System Optimization," MCC Huatian Nanjing Electric Engineering Technology Co., Ltd. selected key steel production links for demo design: dynamic calculation of blast furnace carbon emissions per ton of hot metal at Jinan Steel; construction of a sintering process accounting model at Xingxin Steel; validation of dynamic correction algorithms for carbon emission factors in converter and hot rolling processes at Yaxin Steelmaking and Pangang Changte Rolling. Through these multi-scenario demo tests, the team built carbon emission accounting cases covering the entire process of "sintering – blast furnace – converter – rolling." It overcame technical bottlenecks such as fragmented production data, misaligned data time dimensions, inconsistent accounting boundaries, and difficulties in dynamically updating factors. This work provided crucial support for the preliminary market research and bidding efforts for the Shanxi Yaxin Steelmaking Centralized Control Project.

Looking ahead, MCC Huatian Nanjing Electric Engineering Technology Co., Ltd. will deepen technology implementation during project execution, expand carbon accounting scenarios to more processes, and explore extended functions such as carbon footprint tracking. It aims to drive the development of its distinctive digital intelligence service business through innovation, contribute to a strong start for the company's 15th Five-Year Plan period, and further contribute to industrial green transformation.
