MCC Huatian Project Wins Third Prize in China's Outstanding Engineering Survey and Design Awards Again

Recently, MCC Huatian's project — "The 1.3 Million T/A H-Beam Production Line for Sangang Group's Capacity Replacement (Luoyuan Minguang) and Supporting Project" — was awarded the third prize in the Metallurgical Industrial Engineering Design category of the 2025 National Outstanding Engineering Survey and Design Awards by the China Exploration & Design Association. This marks another national accolade for the project, following its first prize in the National Metallurgical Industry Outstanding Engineering Design Achievement Awards. It collectively highlights MCC Huatian's innovative technological strengths and profound design capabilities in the field of engineering survey and design, and also reflects the industry association’s high recognition of the company's outstanding competitiveness and leading position in high-level industry competition.

The China Outstanding Engineering Survey and Design Award, organized by the China Exploration & Design Association, is one of the highest honors in China's engineering survey and design sector. Through a rigorous multi-stage selection process including preliminary review by specialized panels, comprehensive evaluation by an expert committee, public announcement on the association's website, and final approval by the awards committee, the award establishes an evaluation system based on multiple dimensions such as innovative design value, effectiveness of cutting-edge technology application, and depth of cultural heritage preservation, aiming to select benchmark projects that represent the industry's most advanced standards. This year, a total of 1,477 projects received the 2025 industry awards, among which the Metallurgical Industrial Engineering Design category awarded 4 first prizes, 7 second prizes, and 9 third prizes.

As MCC Huatian's first large H-beam EPC project and the company's largest single rolling mill project to date, the Luoyuan Minguang H-beam project has carried significant strategic importance since its inception. MCC Huatian's design team conducted in-depth market research, precisely defined the product scope, and tailored the process scheme along with customized process equipment for the project. The production line integrates multiple advanced equipment and technologies, including two walking-beam reheating furnaces, the first set of CCS850 compact universal rolling mills, combined H-beam super-sized cooling beds, the first set of reinforced double-support 1600mm nine-roller straighteners, and fully automatic stacking machines, significantly enhancing operational efficiency and product quality. It also incorporates multiple intelligent and green technologies such as key equipment online monitoring devices, post-rolling dimension and surface quality inspection systems, intelligent grab cranes, and remote smart operation and maintenance systems. Its level of greening and intelligence is the highest among similar production lines, making it a exemplary project of MCC Huatian's green and intelligent capabilities.
