Recently, MCC Huatian, as the EPC contractor, has successfully hoisted the first boiler steel frame for the 1×65MW ultra-high temperature, ultra-high pressure intermediate reheat gas power generation project of Tangshan Songting Iron & Steel Group. The completion of this critical milestone marks the project’s full transition from preliminary preparation to the main installation phase, creating favorable conditions for subsequent installation, commissioning, and operation. It strongly demonstrates MCC Huatian’s comprehensive capability in efficiently advancing projects and delivering high-quality contractual performance.
The project involves the construction of a 1×220t/h ultra-high temperature, ultra-high pressure blast furnace gas boiler with reheat, and a 1×65MW ultra-high temperature, ultra-high pressure condensing steam turbine with primary intermediate reheat, coupled with a 1×70MW generator system. Upon completion and operation, the project is expected to generate approximately 514 million kWh of electricity annually, equivalent to saving about 155,300 tons of standard coal per year. The benefits in efficiency improvement and emission reduction are highly significant. It will provide strong support for Songting Steel Group in optimizing its energy structure and building a clean, low-carbon, safe, and efficient modern energy system.
On the day of the hoisting, under the unified coordination of the project management team, the first steel frame—weighing 18.359 tons and standing 39.8 meters high—was steadily lifted, precisely moved, carefully adjusted, and finally fixed into place. All technical parameters strictly met design requirements, validating not only the project team's efficient organizational and coordination skills but also the effective operation of the safety management system.
Moving forward, the project team will solidly advance the completion of the main structure and related work.
