On October 15, the No. 2 unit of the EPC turnkey project for the Steam-Driven to Electric-Driven Blower Retrofit at the Plate Energy Management Center of Benxi Iron and Steel Plate Co., Ltd. in Liaoning, contracted by MCC Huatian, was successfully put into operation. The blower unit and related systems are running smoothly, with all performance indicators meeting design specifications, contract requirements, and technical agreements. With this milestone, both units of the project have now been fully commissioned, demonstrating MCC Huatian’s strong comprehensive capabilities and high-quality project execution in the steel sector. 

This project is a representative initiative of Bengang Plate Company in pursuing green, low-carbon, and high-quality development. By constructing two new sets of fully operational electric axial flow compressor units to replace the original steam-driven blower units, the project enhances the operational efficiency of the blower system. Through triple upgrades—electrification, green power compatibility, and intelligentization—it delivers immediate carbon reduction benefits. Upon completion, the project reduces annual comprehensive energy consumption by 134,000 tons of standard coal compared to pre-retrofit levels, cuts carbon dioxide emissions by 356,000 tons per year, and achieves national first-level energy efficiency standards for installed energy consumption. The project demonstrates significant economic and social benefits.
