The Single-stage Gas Holder Project, contracted by MCC Huatian for Xugang, has been successfully commissioned

On March 13, the 150,000m³ single-stage rubber-membrane-sealed high-pressure dry-type gas holder project, contracted by MCC Huatian for Jiangsu Xugang Iron and Steel Group Co., Ltd., was officially commissioned. With the activation of relevant equipment, this domestically highest gas storage pressure-rated single-stage dry-type gas holder commenced smooth operation, demonstrating stable performance and normal readings across all monitoring indicators.

This project leverages MCC Huatian's self-developed technologies honed over years in the metallurgical gas sector. The gas holder serves as a buffer and pressure stabilizer for Xugang's blast furnace gas pipeline network. Upon completion, it achieves a maximum storage pressure of 13 kPa, fully meeting gas demand while eliminating the need for additional pressurization facilities. This innovation enhances pipeline pressure stability and supports Xugang's goal to become a top-tier intelligent and green steel enterprise in China. Moreover, it aligns with China's "dual-carbon" goals (carbon peak and neutrality) and advances green development in the steel industry.
