In order to comprehensively enhance the technical strength of engineering construction, MCC Group recently held the 2021 BIM Technology Application Competition. On August 20, MCC Huatian team reported their works and made a reply through video conference, and the review experts of MCC Group comprehensively reviewed the entries. Finally, MCC Huatian's "BIM Technology Application of Yongfeng Lingang Phase I Gas Power Generation Project" won the first prize of design and application in 2021 BIM Technology Application Competition of MCC Group.

After careful polishing by the participating teams, the BIM digital design results of the works are outstanding. The 3D Cloud - private cloud platform is used to realize online 3D forward design, which improves project output and teamwork by 79%. The characteristics of 3D visual design are more convenient for communication, reducing information requests by 50%-70%, shortening design cycle by 5%-10% and coordination time of various disciplines by 20%-25%, which has played an unprecedented role in improving production efficiency and shortening construction period. Three-dimensional forward BIM design makes the information transmission between the owner, designer, constructor and corresponding supporting service providers more convenient, eliminates the extra cost caused by the ineffective interoperability of information, reasonably shortens the project cycle, effectively reduces the cost and security risks during the operation and maintenance period, and creates excellent conditions for the low-carbon, environment-friendly operation and profitability of the project throughout its life cycle. BIM technology makes the design to return from 2D to 3D in digital space. In the stage of design and application, the "mistakes, shortage, missing and collision" of each major can be checked in advance, so as to achieve comprehensive coordination, reduce the workload of design modification, reduce the waste of human resources and materials, and realize the true digital green construction.
