The No. 3 265m2 sintering project in Phase 1 extension project of Qingdao Special Steel designed by MCC Huatian was put into operation with success in the beginning of June. Equipment is in good running conditions and various technical data all reach design requirements. The operation of the No. 3 sinter machine wins precious time for shutdown and overhaul of No.1 and No. 2 sinter machines. It can also satisfy the production demand of existing blast furnaces.

The actual effective sintering area of the sinter machine is 300m2. Single flue duct and single fan technology were applied by MCC Huatian for the first time in sinter machine of 265m2 or above; capacity of main exhaust fan is 27000m3/m. Transition with previously implemented projects and compactness were fully taken into consideration in its design. Well-proven, reliable, environment-friendly technologies worldwide were applied in order to reach the target of energy saving, environment protection, cost reduction and profit enhancement, which include single flue duct & single fan to reduce air volume of the main exhaust fan by 10% and lower the installed capacity by 15%, and to decrease air leakage point and bulk materials collection equipment to further save space, energy consumption and investment. In addition, high efficiency sliding way sealed pallet car is provided with heat-insulation pad and anti-collision plate; tilting type circular cooler with upper and bottom water sealing applied features better sealing and low leakage; cloth bag filters are applied for dust removal of the environment, high efficiency 4-field ESP for the main exhaust fan system, and cloth bag filters utilized for dust remover in other dust generation points to make sure that dust emission at varied dust generation point is no more than 10mg/m3; smart process control system featuring high degree of automation and friendly HMI developed by MCC Huatian  covers the whole production procedure.
