It is learned from the official website of Science and Technology Department of Anhui Province that “Research and development on key technology and equipment for intelligent section steel straightening machine with high quality and high efficiency rowing up”, the application for which is led by Intelligent Development Department, was approved on December 23rd to be one of the major science and technology projects of Anhui in year 2020.

“Research and development on key technology and equipment for intelligent section steel straightening machine with high quality and high efficiency rowing up”is aimed at developing a new intelligent small bar rowing up straightener with high rigidity, high accuracy and wide range of sizes to be covered. With this technology, the parameters of straightening can be intelligently calculated and in-line fault diagnosis and unmanned operation can be realized. As the result, productivity is remarkably increased and match work between section steel rolling line and finishing line and the quality of product can be improved.

The research and development of this subject will provide powerful technical support by use of key and high-end equipment and technology to the development of intelligent technology in hot rolling mills.
