On October 26, 2020, the completion of the slippage of the eighth main truss of the closing project of Wuhu Xinxing Cast Pipe Comprehensive Raw Material Yard marked the successful completion of the key main truss slippage, and also marked that the largest single-arch double-span prestressed pipe truss material shed designed by MCC Huatian officially entered the installation stage of auxiliary components.
The project is located in Sanshan district, Wuhu. Covering a total area of about 124,300 square meters, the material yard is a mechanized comprehensive material yard for sintering and feeding to blast furnace in the factory, which consists of a pipe truss main material shed, two grid structure attached booths and a subsidiary portal frame attached booth. The main material shed of the project is a 330 m single-arch double-span prestressed pipe truss, with Y-shaped steel columns in the middle of the span, and the height of the material shed is 60 m. In order not to affect the normal production of the owner during the construction of the material shed, in the design scheme stage, MCC Hutian repeatedly communicated with the consortium initiator of the project, and finally decided to adopt the construction scheme of double-span integral slip. During the design scheme, MCC Huatian fully considered many technical difficulties in construction, such as long-span synchronous slippage control, steel structure construction sequence and synchronous placement to ensure the smooth implementation of the slippage of the eight trusses. Recently, the slippage of the main material shed, the most important and difficult parts of the project, has been completely completed, which has created favorable conditions for the subsequent installation of gables and ancillary structures, and also provided support for the smooth production of the owners.
